Fudge Brownies **(see note)

Brownies evoke strong feelings in people. You’re either in the fudgy brownie or the cake brownie camp.

Polarized as this food war seems, I generally sit in the middle, on the fence, wanting a merriment of fudgy and cakey. I want the best of both worlds, and this luscious brownie makes my I-sit-in-the-middle-of-the-brownie-camp-war heart swoon.

Dense and fudgy, but lofty and stable with cake-like features, and loaded with chocolate chips, this brownie perfectly marries the two camps, creating a chocolate haven.

These beauties can be easily dressed up for an event, as seen in the pictures, with ganache and some sprinkles, or cut into 12-16 squares, depending on size of the cut. Don’t worry, if I do cut-outs, you get a bag of the scraps, which are heavenly.

One batch is 12-16 square brownies, depending on cut size. Number of cutouts would depend on size of cutout.
