Heath Bar Brownies **

When all my peers loved Snickers and Butterfingers growing up, I was the oddball who loved Heath Bars over all the others.

Maybe because of my English Grandmother, I always enjoyed English toffee, and growing up Heath Bars were a staple in my diet.

True statement. Ask my parents. I generally had one on spare in the console of my car.

These Heath Bar brownies combine the happiness of a dense, chocolatey brownie with a hearty layer of Heath Bar bits melted on top.

They’re heavenly. Divine. I dare you not to eat the whole 8x8 slab.

The first time I made them, we were in a polar vortex in January in New Hampshire, so I know, without an ounce of hesitation, that these brownies make the eternal months of winter far more tolerable. They will make warmer months even more joyous, also.
