Ore-OMG Brownies

Let’s start with, technically, I am not supposed to say the name for proprietary reasons, but we all know the cookie I’m talking about when I say the black sandwich cookie that has that creamy white filling, right?

We all love those sandwich cookies with that creamy filling, but let’s re-envision it as a dense, fudgy black brownie (made with black cocoa) topped with a crispy meringue crust made with the same sandwich cookies. If you love the cookie, you will swoon for this brownie. Half way through the brownie baking process, a thick pile of cookie meringue is plopped on top, and what happens during the second half of the baking process is that the meringue melds into the brownie, making it dense and moist (this is a fabulous term in baking!), but leaving a thin meringue crust on the top.

The result is the name of this brownie…when you bite into the brownie, you will think, “This tastes like an Ore… and then say OMG! or ERMIGAWD because your mouth will be full of one of the more shamelessly divine treats you can enjoy.

This meringue topped black brownie will invoke the taste of said sandwich cookie, but will be a bagillion times better!

You will receive 12-16 brownies, depending on how they’re cut.
