No matter what holiday you celebrate, this is a time of year to reflect on the true gifts of friends and family, and to enjoy and celebrate the spirt and traditions of the season.
The spirit of gift giving in many cultures comes from the desire to show love and affection to the person receiving the gift, and food is the perfect gift to fulfill that desire. Food unites us, nourishes us, gives us joy, and often times brings nostalgia. My hope with these seasonal offerings is to give you moments of joy and laughter with friends and family, moments where you can pause around the table, share stories and laugh, and enjoy what truly unites us all: the human experience.
While many of the items below are offered year round, these curated Holiday items are gifts that will add beauty to your Holiday culinary experience, many of which highlights flavors of the season. However, I am more than happy to fulfill any requests you may have for traditional or other unique dessert offerings. Anything on this site is available to adorn your Holiday table or as a foodie gift!

Orders received on or before December 1 will have a guarantee of getting their goodies; however, anything placed after 12/1 will only be accepted based on availability - I’m already quite booked before Thanksgiving.

I only use the best ingredients I can find: things like high quality cocoa and chocolate, homemade vanilla extract, and in the summer seek to get my eggs locally; all this brings the quality of simple recipes to a whole new level.
Something as simple as a brownie becomes decadent with the right high quality ingredients.
This absolutely holds true for this Salted Caramel Brownie Brittle. While you can buy this at the grocery store - and I’ve had it - it tastes, well, processed. Mine is so much richer due to the kind of cocoa and chocolate I use, my own homemade vanilla, as well as farm fresh eggs. High quality ingredients beget a high quality end result.
These thin, swirled with salted caramel, and topped with sea salt brownie crisps are freakishly delicious! So much so, you could easily - oh so easily - eat the entire pan of 35 pieces! It’s all along the lines of the mini Oreo argument - because they’re smaller (or thinner in this case) then you must not be eating as many…right?!
If you call me a day or so later and tell me you ate the whole batch, I will only tell you I completely understand!

I’m originally from the South, and just like when my husband asked me what a Moon Pie was, I asked him what a Whoopie Pie was the first time I came to NH (forgive me, my dear Northern friends, but it’s true). But once you’ve had a really good one, you get it. Since I moved here 25 years ago, I’ve had my fair share of meh tasting ones, and I set out on a quest to make my own delicious version.
By combining the best ideas from separate recipes, I created a fluffy, intensely chocolatey cake filled with velvety, traditionally flavored (but oooo sooo much better) filling that will leave you going back for mini whoopie pie after mini whoopie pie.
I’m a peppermint gal any time of year, but especially around the holidays, the peppermint version, which swaps out the vanilla for peppermint in multiple places in the recipe, is a wonderful treat for a dessert table!

The way a cookie swap works is everyone brings cookies and you never know what you'll get in your goodie box to take home; you just know that you will get a variety of delicious cookies and goodies, even candies!
This was a HUGE hit the last few years, and I want to continue the tradition!
Here's what my Cookie Swap box will contain: some of my cookies that are best sellers, some of my candies that are fan favs, some recipes I haven't yet posted for sale... just like a cookie swap, you just don't know what you'll get! This Baker’s Whimsy Monthly Subscription Box was named the Seasonal Subscription Box, but as I moved through the first year of doing these boxes, I realized how much whimsy went into each month’s box. These boxes not only highlight the idea of following seasonal flavors and holidays - both traditional and quirky - and sourcing products from local and reputable businesses, but there’s so much fun and whimsical thought behind what’s in each box and why!
One of the hallmarks of Queen Bee’s Kitchen is seasonal flavors and using products that are as local as possible. Every ingredient is sourced to ensure the highest quality, and I’m always looking to support local growers and businesses when I do my purchasing:
My chocolate supplier (yes, I have a chocolate supplier) is a local NH business. I get my maple syrup from a family run local farm, which has connections to my husband’s family or local New England families/farms who make maple syrup. The honey is either from our property or a friend’s apiary down the road. All my fruits for jams are picked as locally as possible in NH or northern New England. When and if I travel south for a few weeks in the Spring, I sometimes will make jams with the fresh produce in that area (but it’s straight off the farm kinda deal).

The images are a sample of what you might get in a Baker’s Whimsy, but here’s a promise of what you’ll get each month:

This cake surprised everyone when they first tried it with how good it was (and it was gluten free by request). It’s a brilliant combination of spices that pair gorgeously with the pears on top. Its dense, moist base is loaded with spices, including a hearty dose of ginger, and then topped with beautifully arranged, thinly sliced pears. And the crust that forms on the edges is pure textural brilliance next to the soft cake.

The name says it all.
We bounced around quite a few hilarious options for names that highlighted what this bitesized morsel of chocolate and peanut butter heaven is: an adult version of the cookie we all know and loved as a kid.
But I challenge you to move beyond the traditional into a kicked up, grown up version that has a far most robust peanut flavor from the roasted peanuts that are in the base of this cookie. Add 5 -8 oz of scalding hot milk of choice (8-12oz for pinecone shaped) for each bomb (depending on how rich you want it), watch bombs explode in hot milk, stir vigorously, and ENJOY!! There will be bits of chocolate floating around…this is part of the rich magic of the flavor!
Delicious Alternative: Place a bomb in a mug, and pour coffee for a delicious Cafè Mocha.

In New England, we have a multitude of versions of every season before the weather actually plays the real part of the season.

Ever had biscotti that almost breaks your teeth and rips up the roof of your mouth? And you feel like you could just leave it in your coffee or tea until the drink got cold, and it might soften only a bit?
Yeah, me too. This is the reason I’ve never really liked biscotti.
A few years back I did a cooking trip to the Roman countryside and learned how to make this biscotti. The cooking tour was run by a close group of friends and their family, and we were told this recipe was one of their Nonna’s recipe.
This is unlike any biscotti you’ve ever had. This doesn’t destroy your mouth; it is softer, even after being double baked. The flavor combo of bright, tart dried cranberries (or cherries) paired with roasted pistachios is absurdly delicious. And there are so many of those two ingredients loaded into these loaves, it’s almost hard to cut…don’t worry, you get any broken pieces, too.

Every Christmas morning from the time I remember having teeth, my Grandfather and his wife would show up at our door with huge boxes and bags of Russell Stover chocolates at 7am sharp; they had driven to one of the outlets the week prior and bought my sister and I 5 lb bags of the bloopers (the ones that didn’t set up in the molds properly).
